From the President...
At a recent ministry lunch, John Piper said that when he looks at his church, he sees three kinds of people: goers, senders, and people that aren't believing the gospel. Although Dr. Piper put it starkly, I think he also put it rightly. If we are believers, we need to be constantly praying that God would use us to build his kingdom and acting in powerful, sacrificial, visionary ways toward that end. We must be willing to buck American idols like security and comfort to embrace a savior who bids us come and die - full of courage and full of joy!

At SMF, we want to help Covenant Seminary students realize the nature and needs of the worldwide church so that they might be lifelong goers and senders in churches that are deeply committed to lifelong going and sending. We want our future pastors and leaders to begin to know and to love and to learn from and to serve our brothers and sisters around the globe so that they leave our postage-stamp sized campus with zeal for God's global body. Whether you are someone called to the US, unsure of the location of your calling, or preparing for missionary service, we hope that you will take advantage of the opportunities provided through the World Missions Department and SMF to pray, to learn, and to connect with and commit to other eschatological outposts on our swiftly tilting planet. Come join us!

Get on the Bus!
The PCA wide global missions con-ference is coming up Nov. 8-10 in Atlanta. If our plans work out, MTW will hook us up with a bus, leaving the cost of transportation, lodging, and the conference itself at a mere $75 for seminary students.
