Hi! I hope everyone is having a good summer. I am doing well. Tom and
I saw my oncologist yesterday. My blood levels are good for my last
chemo treatment tomorrow Friday 7/26. The numbness is out of my fingers
from the drugs and my energy is pretty good. I will be getting the PICC
line out of my arm tomorrow too! The first thing I want to do is go
swimming! :)

The next step will be a CTScan in a couple of weeks then a PET Scan. I
know...where is the DOG Scan. The PET Scan will light up if there are
any cancer cells. If there are then my doctor would recommend
radiation. I really don't want radiation. Please pray for this.

Once all that is done I will check back every 3 months for a checkup.
Please pray also that I will be able to have children. This is my
heart's desire.

Thank you for your prayers! They have meant so much to me. God is
healing me through your prayers.

Love,
April

Pictures as promised! These were taken from Feb. - May. It's been a
month since the last photo and my hair is growing back thicker by the
day. I had my 7th chemo treatment this past Friday June 28. I am ready
to be healed. This one was a hard one to take emotionally. But I have
been physically feeling good yesterday and today. Praise God!

The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trust in him, and I am
helped. My heart leaps for joy and I will give thanks to him in song.
Psalm 28:7

Photos:
1. Feb. 4th before chest biopsy surgery at University of VA
2. Home after a week in the hospital recovering from chest surgery, my
right lung almost full of fluid so I had to have oxygen, and my 1st
chemo treatment. This photo was taken Feb. 27. Melissa Sumner a friend
in Staunton VA drove me to Image Enhancement Center to see about a wig.
She and her mother-in-law Janet Swisher were with me at the hospital
during my 2nd treatment.
3. My new wig! I had my hair buzzed so it wasn't as traumatic when it
fell out.
4. Audrey Meyer flew in from St. Louis to help me out at home after my
2nd chemo treatment.
5. Easter morning, March 31, after my 3rd chemo treatment. My sister
Lisa flew in from St. Louis and stayed a week to help out.
6. My college friend from Austin TX, Kristi Mills flew in to help with
my 6th treatment.

Thank you for your prayers! God is hearing them and answering them!
Praise God! I am so happy to be alive!

Love,
April
